Objective
In June 2024, Markup Designs was tasked to enhance the social media presence and online presence of Hungry House, an Indian restaurant based in Carrollton, Texas. Hungry House wanted us to increase their online brand visibility, drive more traffic to both the physical restaurant and online delivery partners, and build a loyal customer base.
Our Primary Approach
To achieve all the desired aspects of our client, we employed different strategies to fully understand the business environment of our client, their exact target audience, and specific objectives that they had in mind.
What Did We Find Out?
Target Audience: We identified their primary audience, which included Indian, Asian, and local American residents aged 18-60 in the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW).
Focus of their Business: We found out that Hungry House specializes in North and South Indian cuisine, and wants to target both residential customers and businesses.
Activity on Social Channels: We found out that Hungry House was active on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, but they needed better account management and engagement strategies.
What Did We Do?
After dedicating hours to understand the problems faced by our client, we came up with 5 effective solutions that will take care of all the problems Hungry House faced and will also help them grow their online presence to attract more on-foot traffic to the restaurant and bring traffic to their website.
Content Development: We created weekly posts on different social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, focusing on visually appealing and engaging content. All our posts were designed to showcase the unique Indian cuisine offerings, highlight customer experiences, and promote special deals.
Brand Awareness: Our primary focus was creating a local buzz. We targeted users within a 15-20-mile radius of the restaurant using organic growth strategies, including community engagement and local hashtags.
Engagement Boost: We focused on interaction with followers, responded to comments and messages promptly, and encouraged user-generated content by running contests and featuring customer reviews.
Competitor Analysis: An analysis of nearby Indian restaurants helped us identify gaps in their marketing efforts, allowing us to differentiate Hungry House through creative and consistent social media posts.
Traffic & Conversion: While organic engagement was the focus, we also prepared the groundwork for paid advertising strategies, aiming at driving traffic to both the store and delivery platforms like Grubhub, Uber Eats, and DoorDash.
Results We Obtained:
Increased Followers: Since June 2024, we have observed over 300 percent organic growth of followers on Twitter, around 48 percent on Facebook, and over 210 percent on Instagram in just 8 weeks.
Better Engagement Rate: Improved engagement with posts receiving more likes, comments, and shares. From 5 or 6 per month to 485 engagements in just 6 weeks.
Enhanced Brand Reach: Enhanced visibility in the local area, with more users mentioning and visiting the restaurant. The reach has grown significantly, increasing by over 4,000 each month since the start.
Conclusion
At Markup Designs, we successfully laid the foundation for Hungry House's online presence, significantly improving their visibility and engagement within their target community. Future steps will involve scaling these efforts with paid ads to further drive traffic and boost conversions.
